The JDM Type R had the minor change long headlights that remained only for 2025 Acura Integra the JDM models while the entire world market version had the pre-facelift double round lights. In 1995, Honda introduced the Integra Type R to the Japanese domestic market. There's precedent for this setup in the Integra lineup, as Acura offered the very first three generations of the vehicle with two or four doors. The Acura Integra looks a lot like an Acura Integra 2025 TLX or ILX and will soon be available exclusively as a 4-door car with a liftback (think hatchback).

The fourth-generation Integra, sold in the U.S. since the Acura RSX, was exclusively a 2-door car. Realtime Racing used the Integra Type R and later the RSX Type S to compete in the SCCA World Challenge Touring car class for many years. In 1992, the Integra was found in Formula One as a security car at the Canadian Grand Prix. The Acura Integra and RSX have now been popular in automobile racing. Several cars were entered in to the 2009 British Touring Car Championship season and won the 2003 Asian Touring Car Series.

The DC2 Type R came standard with a 200 PS (figure can vary greatly in numerous countries, 195 hp USDM, 190 hp in Europe) factory-tuned variant of the B18C engine. Built with a close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission and a Helical LSD, the DC2 Integra Type R had significantly improved performance and handling in accordance with the GS-R/Si/SiR-G Integra. In its price range, there's the Honda Civic Si and potentially a fresh Type R, the Toyota GR 86, and Subaru BRZ.

A few steps up the price ladder, Acura Integra 2025 you can find cars including the Audi A4, BMW 2 Series, and the Genesis G70. Though Acura is technically a premium brand, Integra's cost means it'll face off against a wide selection of competitors. If Integra can meet its price target and not require thousands of dollars in added options to get the entire experience, it could bring a completely new value dynamic that will allow it to be an almost irresistible performance bargain.

Inside, the Integra offered a driver-oriented cockpit with supportive seats and a well-designed dashboard. The Integra includes a 7.0-inch infotainment display as standard and a more substantial 9.0-inch unit available as an option, both stop trying the annoying touchpad controller present in other Acura products. The larger touchscreen is part of the technology suite on the A-Spec models, which also incorporates an instant smartphone charging pad, a 5.3-inch head-up display, and three USB-C charging ports in the cabinet.  Such as the Si, the Integra makes 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.

On the top trim level, the Integra comes with a six-speed manual transmission as a no-cost option. The manual Integra clocks in at 7.8 seconds to 60 mph, a disappointing result for an entry-level luxury car. The Acura Integra ses exactly the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that you will discover beneath the hood of the Honda Civic Si. Unlike the Civic Si, 2025 Acura Integra however, the Integra comes standard with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

That means a turbocharged engine with at least 300 hp.
