Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

bentley continental key fob's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to mark the centennial of the company. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure that features never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect present to greet a new owner of their luxurious vehicle.

Aesthetics

As a design-centric company Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting and the use of leather that is made from leftovers from cattle, the wood from sustainably-managed forests, and the unique patterns of its levers. A bently car key like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you approach it, displaying its sculptural beauty and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear tonneau, for instance, displayed the largest piece of book-matched, dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The firm continues to push the boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, a handcrafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic smart glass that can be changed from opaque to transparent by pressing an arrow.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, one hundred years after it was established. The marque, currently owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of dispute with BMW, had planned a variety of special events and launches to mark this milestone. The marque planned a number special occasions and launches to mark the occasion prior to when planning for a pandemic became a top priority.

Design

Bentley is a luxury car manufacturer that produces lavish and extravagant cars. But even the keys are an oath. The Bentayga key is made from sterling silver. It has an oversized 'B' logo that let everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and developed the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. The rear seats were designed to offer passengers unmatched comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. A custom heating, ventilation and air conditioning system was designed to ensure that every passenger has the ideal climate control setting.

The Mulsanne features twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp and 479lb-ft torque. This amazing power is coupled with a new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned quiet ride.

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars manufactured after 2019 to commemorate its centennial. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests seats, the interior and other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. A bespoke bentley key case (willysforsale.com) is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key features a button that opens the trunk and another which starts the car. The key also includes a switch to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spots. Using this feature can aid in getting in and out of the car more easily.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather and takes two days to craft each one. It is hand cut, shaped, sewn, sealed, and polished to produce the highest-quality finish. It is strong, compact, and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more luxurious feel.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys with no key. The device is inserted into the remote-control fob and then shuts it off when the key has not been utilized for a period of a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects firm's values of high-quality craftsmanship and engineering expertise. It also includes cutting-edge technology. The headquarters in Crewe is home to more than 4,000 workers who are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply skills handed through generations and apply them to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. This is a characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own vehicle. The customers sit at a set of images called “mood stations” and pick a set of photos - from scenic views to sporting events that will inspire them to design their own. Every time a choice is made, the pattern that emerges will reveal the model of the Bentley, as well as the color and style preferences for the bespoke Bentley.

The guests are given a key case made by hand that contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. Keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps which light the door's opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem as they arrive at the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and build the Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a conscious refusal to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not make use of a machine to create perfectly matched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and paralell spots.

Edition, that pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars are available in 100. one key that features a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
