Nespresso Lattissima Coffee Maker Review

The Lattissima is the next step in Nespresso’s one-touch brewing. It can make espresso and lungo in less than a minute, and accepts an array of capsules from the company.

The machine can also be programmed to create the exact size of drink you desire. This is a great feature for busy households.

This black Nespresso Machine (Tebe.Us) is simple in appearance, is easy to maintain and use. It has a minimalist, simple design and only one button at the top that controls powering, rinsing, brewing and much more. Simply remove the lid, place in a capsule and click to begin brewing. It heats quickly and offers many drink options including a double-shot espresso or a 5 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It comes with a steaming tool that can add a cafe-like texture to your drinks. While we love its simple interface and compact design however, we discovered that the machine didn't perform like higher-end models when it comes to brewing rich tasting espresso and coffee. And it's not as easy to recycle the capsules like some other machines we've tested. This Nespresso wasn't our top choice in our test of side-by-side for these reasons.

Quick to brew

The Nespresso machine can make the perfect cup of coffee in around 15 minutes. The heated water from a reservoir is pumped through a pump that pierces the small holes that are on the top of the pod. It is then mixed with the compacted ground coffee inside, and then drips into your cup. We tested the machine using Jones Brothers and Bestpresso capsules and it produced an extremely rich and delicious espresso with a slight bite. We also tested whole, 2% and almond milk and found that all worked very well.

Easy to clean

It is essential to clean a Nespresso machine on a regular basis, both inside and out. This will help keep it running smoothly and ensures it's safe to use. This also improves the taste of your coffee. You can make use of various cleaners to clean a nespresso coffee pod machines and include vinegar. It's best to make use of a descaling agent instead of vinegar, since it can damage your machine.

Clean the drip tray and capsule container. Then you can fill a sink or large bowl with warm water and add a few squirts of dish soap. Let the drip tray and container soak in the soapy water for a few minutes to loosen gunk and stains. Rinse the drip tray and capsule container using hot water. Then, use a nonabrasive cloth or sponge to remove any stains or residues. After scrubbing the capsules and drip tray, rinse them again and allow them to dry completely before returning them to the machine.

After your machine has been cleaned, it is time to descale. You can follow the directions in your user's manual to follow a particular procedure. You can also design your own DIY descaling solution with white vinegar or citric acid. If you are using vinegar, be sure that it's white vinegar and not balsamic or apple, as they are too aggressive.
